02-MAR-2016: Maj. Mohommed Ali Shah, a highly talented artist and son of AMU Vice Chancellor, Lt. Gen. Zameer Uddin Shah, has received the Best Actor Award in the recently organized Delhi International Film Festival for his powerful roles in "The Ruffians" and "The Great Indian Tamasha".
Noted film artist, Naseeruddin Shah's nephew and a commissioned army officer, Maj. Shah nurtures an inclination for acting from his childhood and has won mass appraisal for his short yet powerful role in award winning movie Haider.
Carrying an illustrious family background, Ali has a management degree from prestigious IIM, Calcutta and wants to create a nice for himself. "I want to create an identity on my own and do not believe in living in the shadows of my illustrious father or uncle", he declared.
Ali who made a humble beginning with Sriram Raghavan's "Agent Vinod", has just completed shooting for Tigmanshu Dhulia's latest film Yaara, in which he has played a challenging role.
"This role demanded a lot of dedication, devotion, discipline and commitment and took me a year to prepare for this role", said Ali.
