09-MAR-2016: The Department of Geology, Aligarh Muslim University in collaboration with the IRTECH OLYMPUS Microscope India today organized a 'Workshop on Optical Microscope'. About 100 participants from faculties of Life Sciences, Sciences, Medical Sciences and Engineering and Technology participated in the workshop.
AMU Vice Chancellor, Lt General Zameer Uddin Shah (retd) emphasized that these workshops will promote interaction between the industry and the academia.
While encouraging the faculty members to bring more research projects, the Vice Chancellor emphasized that AMU will soon reach the top position with the quality of research and publications by university scholars.
Professor L A K Rao, Chairman, Department of Geology said that these workshops will be very helpful for scholars for motivating them to do quality research. He further said that more workshops like this will take place in future.
Meanwhile, IRTECH resource persons Mr Rohit Kanwal, Mr Santosh Kumar, Mr Umang Tyagi and Mr Manoj Pandey delivered lectures on the occasion.
Prof Noman Ghani chaired the Technical Session of the workshop.
Mr R K Verma and Mr Satish Ahuja, AGMs of IRTECH presented mementos to the Vice Chancellor.
Dr S A Rashid, Organizing Secretary delivered the welcome address. Prof M E A Mondal conducted the programme and Dr M Shamim Khan proposed the vote of thanks.
