27-MAR-2016: The Department of Business Administration, Aligarh Muslim University organized an extension lecture on "Building Brands with Creative Advertising". Mr. Jaibeer Ahmad Vice President, J Walter Thomson and head of Pepsi business delivered the keynote lecture.
Mr Jaibeer discussed a number of case studies on the Advertising and Branding strategies formulated by multinational companies in India. He also focused on the management of the agency-client relationship, involving account executives and brand managers, focusing on career development, the ways various departments collaborate with account managers to achieve client goals, and how account management skills can be applied to all roles within an agency. The lecture was fully interactive and offered and enriching experience for the students.
Mr Jaibeer Ahmad has been in the Advertising industry for more than 15 years. He started his career as a management trainee with RK Swamy BBDO. After that he was with Lowe Lintas, Ogilvy & Mather, FCB Ulka, Rediffusion Y&R and Saatchi & Saatchi. He has handled brands like Airtel, All Out, Nestle, Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, HCL, Carlsberg and OLX among others.
Some of his campaigns include Hunger Strike, Crash the IPL, Mini Cans, Pressure is Good for Pepsi, OLX Bech De Launch in India, Airtel Vidya and Madhavan Series, Airtel Delhi Half Marathon, Springwell Sleep Exchange and many more. He has won 2 Effies, 1 Clio and several Abby's during the course of 15 years.
Prof. Valeed Ahmad Ansari, Dean and Chairman speaking on the occasion exhorted the students to imbibe from the first-hand experiences of an industry professional like Mr. Jaibeer Ahmad and assured many more such extension lectures in the future to compliment classroom teaching. He also presented a memento to Mr Jaibeer Ahmad on behalf of the Department of Business Administration and the University.
