06-APR-2016: Onuronon Literary Society, Aligarh Muslim University organized a presentation on "Avenues and Scholarships to Study Abroad: Procedures and Prospects" at the Conference Hall, Faculty of Social Science, AMU. The Presentation was made by India's Visiting Research fellow Mr Sheth Zulfiqar, who is also a Doctoral fellow at Dept of Economics, AMU.
The Programme was presided over by Dr Suhail Sabir, Department of Chemistry and coordinated by Professor Samina Khan, Department of English, AMU.
The presentation discussed about the benefits of studying abroad and made the students aware about various scholarship opportunities available for Indian students to study abroad. It also discussed about various standardized tests, like TOEFL, IELTS, GRE etc. that are essential to study abroad. The Sir Syed Emerging Scholar Award that is working for AMU students who want to study abroad for their higher education was also talked about during the presentation.

Large number of students from AMU and nearby educational institutions participated in the program. With the success of the programme the organizer, Mr Kaikubad Ali from Onuronon Literary Society has informed that a two-day workshop on the same topic will also be organized very soon.
