18-APR-2016: India's leading IT Company TATA Consultancy Services (TCS), in a recently held Campus Recruitment Drive, has selected 17 students of B Sc, Aligarh Muslim University at the Campus Recruitment Drive. Out of the 17 selected students, 12 are girls.
Mr Nishant Singh, HR, TCS appreciated the quality of the students and especially admired the performance of the girl candidates throughout the recruitment process.
Mr Saad Hameed, Training and Placement Officer (General), AMU said that the esteemed IT Company visited AMU to hire BSC students as IT infrastructure and Networking professionals. He informed that students of different branches of BSc appeared in the Campus Recruitment drive. Out of total 60 eligible students, who appeared for the online test, 28 were called for the interview, Mr Hameed added.
Mr Hameed said that prior to this, the girl students of AMU also performed well in the Campus Recruitment drives of Wipro, Aegis, Azim Premji Foundation, Thomson Reuters and other reputed companies held at AMU. The reputed companies appreciated the talent and quality of girl students here, he informed. Mr Hameed thanked the Honourable Vice Chancellor and Pro Vice Chancellor of AMU for their continuous guidance and support to the placement office of the university and said that the latest ranking of the university released by the Ministry of HRD, Govt of India, will also play an important role in improving and speeding up the campus placement process in the university.
