01-AUG-2016: The Department of Geology, Aligarh Muslim University is organizing the 18th IIRS Outreach Programme on 'Remote Sensing, Geographical Information System and Global Navigation Satellite System' in collaboration with Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, ISRO for the students of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The programme will commence from August 22.
Professor Liaqat AK Rao, Chairperson, Department of Geology informed that the course is also open to the scientific staff of the departments, faculty members and research scholars for participation. He said that it will conclude on November 22. Professor Rao told that the candidates interested to participate may register online through http:/www.iirs.gov.in/Edusat-News/ after which the pdf copy of the registration application may be sent to email@example.com with '18 IIRS Registration Detail' as subject.
He further informed that the course will be held from 04:00 pm to 05:30 pm with 4/5 lectures per week. Certificate of participation will be awarded to the participants securing at least 70 per cent attendance as well as minimum 40 per cent marks in all qualifying online examinations, Professor Rao added while informing there is no course fee for the programme.
