10-AUG-2016: The Office of the Dean, Faculty of Arts, Aligarh Muslim University today held a condolence meeting to mourn the sad demise of Mr Mamoon Ahmad Khan, Ex-Care Taker, Faculty of Arts. Mr Mamoon recently passed away after a prolonged illness.
During the meeting, Professor Shaik Mastan, Dean, Faculty of Arts said that the deceased served the university in best possible ways. He added that Mr Mamoon was a very hard working employee and a person of a very strong character and human values.
"Mr Mamoon was working very hard despite his health conditions," said Prof Mastan adding that his demise has left a void, which is hard to fill.
Prof Arif Hameed, Department of Political Science said that the deceased was talented in his work and specially known for his drafting skills. "Mr Mamoon was known for accomplishing all the tasks assigned to him before the due time and his work efficiency is well known among his colleagues in the University," added Prof Hameed.
The condolence meeting was attended by teaching and non-teaching staff of the Faculty of Arts, Social Sciences and other university departments. People attending the meeting observed two minutes of silence and conveyed their condolence to the deceased's family.
Meanwhile, the Office of the Registrar, Executive Section today organized a Condolence meeting to mourn the demise of Mr Mohd Nisar Baig, who worked as a Head Plumber with the Registrar Office.
The Condolence Resolution for the deceased was read by Mr Nazim Hussain Jaffri, Deputy Registrar.
With the resolution, the meeting conveyed condolence to the deceased's family members. Mr Baig is survived by his wife, two daughters and two sons.
