16-AUG-2016: The Training and Placement office (General), Aligarh Muslim University recently organised a Workshop for the police personnel on 'Stress Management and Positive Leadership'. The workshop was attended by over 200 police personnel including the SSP, SPs, COs, SHOs and Constabulary from the Aligarh City Police.
During the Workshop, Mr Love Kumar, SSP, Aligarh highlighted the importance of the workshop and appreciated the hard work of TPO, AMU for having a successful Workshop. Mr Kumar also said that these kinds of workshops will be organised at district level.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Saad Hameed, TPO (General), who was the organiser of the Workshop, said that the objective of the workshop was to train the police force on positive leadership and to make them learn how to manage stress related to their day-to- day work and personal life.
He added that the Workshop aimed at having a happier, healthy and efficient police in which officers can easily deal with their pains and worries in their professional and personal lives.
Attending the Workshop as resource persons, Dr Deepak Nandvanshi from Khushi Foundation, Lucknow and Dr Nadeem Luqman, Amity University, Gurgaon displayed the importance of Positive leadership and stress management through innovative and interactive activities.
The resource persons also gave useful tips for managing stress at work places and in pressure situations.
Meanwhile, various relaxation therapies were conducted to de-stress the build up pressure during hectic work schedules.
Professor Mehmood S Khan, Dept of Psychology and Prof Rizwan Khan, Dept of English also expressed their views on the occasion.
Mr Saad Hameed thanked the volunteers of Soch, NGO, for their kind support in organizing the workshop.
