29-AUG-2016: Mr Asif Hasan, Research Scholar, Department of Psychology, Aligarh Muslim University participated and represented AMU at the World Student Environmental Network (WSEN) held in London. He represented AMU for the first time at the summit.
Mr Hasan, in his presentation entitled 'Hasan-Husain Environmental Wrapper Model', discussed about an innovative study to reduce wrapper waste from our environment. He also participated in many workshops and seminars, based on spiritual ecology, environmental psychology, sustaining environmental activism, global business and the built environment, etc held during the summit.
WSEN is organized every year on the main theme of sustainability, energy and ecology. This year student representatives from 42 countries participated in the summit. Only five Universities from India were invited to attend the mega event and AMU was one among them.
In the summit field tour and cultural exchange programme were also organized. Mr Hasan visited Oxford University, Keele University, University of Sussex and interacted with the students of at least 86 universities under the exchange programme.
Mr Asif Hasan is pursuing his research work under the supervision of Professor Akbar Hussain.
