02-SEP-2016: Mrs Sabiha Shah, wife of Aligarh Muslim University Vice Chancellor, Lt General Zameer Uddin Shah (retd) today inaugurated the Medical attendant Scheme (MAS) Ambulance Service.
This ambulance service equipped with life-supporting systems and ventilators was inaugurated in the presence of the AMU Vice Chancellor and Pro Vice Chancellor, Brigadier Syed Ahmad Ali (retd).
During the inaugural, the Vice Chancellor Lt Gen Shah said that the much awaited ambulance service has fulfilled the demands of faculty and general staff members of AMU. He pointed out that with this service, it will be easier to carry patients for further treatments to New Delhi hospitals from the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC) after reference of JNMC doctors.
Dr Anjum Parvez, Director, MAS said that the ambulance service has become a reality with the efforts and cooperation of AMU Administration. He also pointed out that this ambulance service will be available round-the-clock.
Prof Tariq Mansoor, Principal, JNMC; Prof Mohd Mohsin Khan, Proctor, AMU; Mr Naseem Ahmad, Dr Obaid Ahmad Siddiqui, AMU EC Members; Dr Shariq Aqeel, CMO, in-charge, University Health Service; Dr Rahat Abrar, MIC, Public Relations Office and Director, Urdu Academy and other medical officers were present on the occasion.
