10-SEP-2016: The Training and Placement Office (General), Aligarh Muslim University organized a Career Counselling Session for the girl students of Woman's College, with the objective to make them aware of the available career and job opportunities.
The resource person of the session, Mr. Saad Hameed, Training and Placement Officer of the University apprised the students about various job and career opportunities. He emphasized on the process of Self Actualization and urged the students to explore their hidden abilities and make their interest and special skills as their career. He said there was no dearth of job opportunities and one must be very careful while choosing a satisfactory future career.
Mr. Hameed urged the students to set their goal, plan a strategy and move forward with a positive attitude to materialize their objective.
Mr. Saad Hameed informed that soon a Soft Skills and Personality Development Workshop for the students of Women's College will be organized to groom talents and train students to take up challenges of professional world.
The session was followed by a question hour round in which a variety of queries from the students were responded.
Dr. Mansoor Alam, TPO, Women's College thanked Mr. Saad Hameed for giving time and making special efforts towards the career building of the students of Women's College.
Meanwhile, in a separate move, the Training and Placement Office organized a Placement Preparation Workshop for providing University students, special training and information on personality development, group discussion, interview preparation and CV writing.
Dr. Gufran Ahmed, Dr. Faiz Zaidi and Dr. Khurram Nisar, who acted as the resource persons highlighted the various stages of recruitment process and gave effective tips to student participants. They also gave a detailed insight on all the three stages of a recruitment drive.
About 200 students from various courses and faculties participated in the workshop. Sajjal Khan, Fahad Ahmad, Mohd. Usman Obaid and Shoeb Mazzini of the Engineering College played an important role in the organization of the workshop.
