24-SEP-2016: The Training and Placement Office (General), Aligarh Muslim University has taken an initiative by starting a Super-30 batch of the students studying in Diploma-in-Engineering pre-final and final year, AMU.
Mr Saad Hameed, TPO (General), AMU confirmed that the objective of the initiative is to groom and develop students at the early stage of their studies.
He added that the mission of the Super-30 batch is to train students for upcoming challenges of job market.
"The Super 30 batch is a two years programme, which shall train and provide the exposure on personality development, spoken English, live projects, industrial visits, internships, counseling and guidance by guest speakers, industry experts and Alumni," said Mr Hameed.
He pointed out that AMU Diploma-in-Engineering students are technically very strong, but they need necessary guidance and mentoring right from their first year.
Keeping the importance of mentoring and guidance, Training and Placement Office (General) has initiated the Programme, said Mr Hameed.
He informed that the students in the Super-30 batch will be selected on the basis of applications followed by one to one interviews.
Mr Hameed further pointed out that there is a very positive feed-back from the students on this initiative and most of the students have said that there was a need of this programme as it will provide a helping hand and guidance to excel in their careers.
The students have thanked Mr Hammed for starting the Super-30 batch.
