10-OCT-2016: The Maulana Azad Library, Aligarh Muslim University today began a week-long training course cum workshop on 'Conservation of Manuscripts and Archival Material'.
The training course cum workshop is being organized by the Heritage Cell in collaboration with the Maulana Azad Library.
Professor Sufiyan Beg, Principal, Z H College of Engineering and Technology, AMU, who attended the inaugural function as the Chief Guest The Training and Placement Office (General), Aligarh Muslim University is organizing workshops on Career Guidance on the theme 'Road to Success' for the students of the University.
The objective of these workshops is to sensitize and guide the students towards career building, said Mr Saad Hameed, TPO, AMU.
Mr Hameed added that since many students at times, due to lack of awareness and knowledge are not able to map their career and as a result they don't fit or are not interested in the careers. He further said that placement is a byproduct; the real challenge is to apprise the students about career awareness.
Till now, sessions have been organized for the students of Senior Secondary School (Boys & Girls), Department of Mathematics, Department of Chemistry, Women's College, ZHCET, Nadeem Tarin Hall, Sir Ziauddin Hall and Sulaiman Hall. Meanwhile, more sessions will soon happen in other departments and residential halls.
Mr Hameed pointed out that the students are enthusiastically participating in these sessions and positive feedbacks have been received from them for the initiative.
