20-OCT-2016: The Department of Geology, Aligarh Muslim University recently organized an interaction program with its alumni Mr Rizwan Ahmad and Mr Sifat Ali of the Oren Hydrocarbons at the Audio-Visual Hall of the Department.
Mr Ahmad, alumnus of the Department of Geology and the Chairman and Managing Director of the Oren Hydrocarbons shared his student-life experiences and early professional career. He revealed that during his early professional career he was tremendously helped by one of his seniors from AMU, who travelled from China just to train him in the field operations. He highlighted the importance of connection and love between Aligs (students of AMU).
Mr Ahmad motivated the students to work hard, achieve success and bring fame to their alma mater. He also ensured to render any sort of help to the students and the department. Answering a question about his remarkable achievement in a short span of time, he said that hard work, dedication and determination are the key of his success. Mr Ahmad promised to donate a bus for the Department of Geology.
Mr Sifat Ali, alumnus, Department of Geology and Director (Operations), Oren Hydrocarbons also shared his experiences as a student of AMU. He thanked the faculty members of the department for their invaluable role in shaping his career.
Prof Liaqat A K Rao, Chairperson, Department of Geology and Prof Abu Talib welcomed the guests.
Dr M Shamim Khan briefly introduced the guests to the audience while Prof Liaqat A K Rao presented a memento to Mr Rizwan Ahmad.
Prof Abu Talib thanked the alumni for interacting with the members of the department despite their busy schedule. Prof M E A Mondal conducted the program.
