26-OCT-2016: Aligarh Muslim University Engineer, Professor Anwar Khursheed recently visited the proposed site at Chakla for the construction of AMU Kishanganj Centre.
During the visit, Prof Khursheed was accompanied by Mr D A Nizami, Building and Construction Department; members of Advisory Committee for Construction Work of Kishanganj Centre; Dr Azimur Rahman, Dr Asadullah, Dr Musa Ali, Mr Md Sarwar Alam and Mr Md Asadul Haque.
Prof Khursheed inspected all the locations, where the boundary had fallen on the site during recent floods. Meanwhile, Mr D Devnath, Project Head, HSCL with other officials informed Prof Khursheed that the total length of wall damaged due to floods was about 318 metres.
"Immediate measures will be taken to start the repair work," said Prof Khursheed pointing out that river training and flood control measures need to be re-strengthened by the State Government so to avoid such recurrences in future.
