29-OCT-2016: "Talent without a high character has nothing to do in life" said Aligarh Muslim University Pro Vice Chancellor Brig S Ahmad Ali (Veteran). He was addressing the students of the Super 30 batch, who have been selected from various branches of study of AMU Polytechnic (Boys) by the Training and Placement Office (General) with an objective of grooming their hidden talent.
Brig Ali advised the Super 30 batch students to dress up well for every occasion as the dressing sense of a person plays an important role in building his worth. He told that the forming of the Super 30 batch is aimed at training the students in their professional endeavors. He added that the morals and culture that we possess is a product of the nourishment provided by our parents.
While describing the discovery of United States of America by Christopher Columbus, Brig Ali said that the first step taken by Columbus after the discovery was the establishment of Harvard University. He stated that acquiring knowledge is extremely important for attaining success as it leads us to greater self confidence. Brig Ali encouraged the students to read beyond their prescribed textbooks. He said that Sir Syed Ahmad took round of the Oxford and Cambridge Universities, grabbed the idea behind their infrastructure and then took the advantage of founding AMU.
Brig Ali advised the students to understand the value of time as it cannot be brought back. He encouraged the students to decide their aim and start their professional career as early as possible. He proposed to acquire and learn from others and to develop a continuous habit of learning. He apprised the students to have integrity and loyalty towards their institution.
Er. Mohsin Ali Khan, Training and Placement Officer, University Polytechnic (Boys) thanked the AMU PVC for his enlightening words and Mr Saad Hameed, AMU TPO (General) for organizing the lecture.
