05-NOV-2016: Professor A K Azad Khan, Hamdard Laboratories (WAQF) Bangladesh; Lt Colonel Mahbubul Alam Chowdhury, Director, Hamdard Foundation, Bangladesh and Mr Kazi Golam Rahman, Secretary, Government t of Bangladesh recently visited Aligarh Muslim University as a part of three-member delegation.
The purpose of the visit was promotion and development of Unani System of Medicine and upgradation of newly established faculties of Unani and Ayurvedic Medicine in Bangladesh universities.
During their visit, the delegation met the AMU Vice Chancellor, Lt General Zameer Uddin Shah (Veteran) and expressed their interest in a possible collaboration with the Faculty of Unani Medicine, AMU for teaching, learning and research purposes.
The delegation also met the Dean, Faculty of Unani Medcine, Professor Qamar Akhtar Kazmi and Vice President, Central Council of Indian Medicine, Prof Shahgufta Aleem. They also visited the Department of Saidla (Unani Pharmacy), AMU.
During the visit, the delegation also interacted with AMU teachers and appreciated the research going on in the various Unani Medicine departments.
