17-NOV-2016: The Law Society, Faculty of Law, Aligarh Muslim University recently conducted a workshop on ‚??Moot Courts and Mock Trials and Legal Research Methodology‚??.
On the occasion, Professor Javaid Talib, Dean, Faculty of Law and President of Law Society spoke on the importance of mooting skills and mocks. He urged students to actively participate in the upcoming 2nd Intra Moot Court competition scheduled to take place in December at the Faculty of Law.
Professor Iqbal Ali Khan, Chairman, Department of Law congratulated the Law Society for organizing the event. He pointed out that the next motive of the Faculty of Law, AMU is to achieve the first position in all India Rankings. AMU‚??s Faculty of Law is currently ranked sixth in all-India rankings.
Meanwhile, Dr Mohd Tariq appreciated the work of the Law Society for making the programme successful. He also announced that the Faculty of Law will soon organize a Moot Court Competition of the National level.
Department of Law students Mr Piyush Gautam, Mr Ozair Elahi and Mrs Arshi Salahuddin woked tirelessly to conduct the different sessions of the workshop.
Office bearers of the Law Society Syed Mohd Haris, Vice-President; Farhan Shamsi, Secretary; Mahboob Alam, Editor; Salman Qasmi, Joint Editor and Abdullah Samdani, Joint Editor with Joint Secretaries Urooj khan, Utkarsh Srivastav, Faham Ahmad Khan and Shahbaz Akhtar were involved in organizing the event.
