29-NOV-2016: The Sayyid Hamid Senior Secondary School (Boys) recently commemorated the Constitution Day, in which Major S M Mustafa (retd), Principal of the School administered a pledge for performing duties towards the nation.
Delivering his address, Maj Mustafa urged the students to imbibe the spirit of the constitution in their thoughts and actions. "This is the day; we must pay our rich tributes to the framers of our constitution, which is being used as a catalyst of change and all inclusive development," said Maj Mustafa.
On the occasion, Mr Ghufran Ahmad, PGT (Political Science) also delivered a lecture on the importance of Fundamental Duties.
During the Celebrations, a Speech Contest was also held in which students spoke on various aspects of the constitution. Nishant Bhardawaj won the first prize in the competition, while second and third prizes were won by Mohd Sameen and Mazharul Islam. Nafees Haider was given a consolation prize.
Dr Mohd Abu Saleh, Mr Ashhad Jamal, Dr Faiz Zaidi and Mr Najaf Ali Khan were also present on the occasion. Dr Arib Ali Khan, PGT, Economics proposed the vote of thanks.
