02-DEC-2016: Aligarh Muslim University students run MEDICS and the Department of Microbiology, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College organized Health Camp for free blood tests of HIV, Hepatitis and Haemoglobin at the Maulana Azadnagar area of Aligarh District. The camp was organized to observe the World Aids Day.
During the Camp, 105 blood samples were collected, while 210 patients were given free consultations.
While addressing the attendants of the camp, the Chief Guest, Professor Haris Manzoor Khan, Medical Superintendent, JNMC, promised more such awareness camps in remote areas of Aligarh.
Meanwhile Dr Mehar Rizvi during the interaction at the camp talked about signs, symptoms, prevention and myths regarding AIDS.
MEDICS volunteers Mr Chakit, Ms Faiza Sherwani and Ms Fariha did survey regarding awareness in general population.
Prof Abida Malik, Prof Indu Shukla, Dr Fatima khan, Dr Maroof, Dr Adil, Dr Asif, Bhavesh Pant, Ravneet, Minhaz, Raushan, Sameer and Vishal were also present at the camp.
