13-DEC-2016: India's leading NGO, Piramal Education Foundation, which has signed MOU with Department of Social work, Aligarh Muslim University for conducting regular workshops, seminars, leadership programmes, internships and campus placement drives, has recently felicitated AMU for a positive and meaningful association in terms of providing quality candidates and building the much required Industry-Academia interface.
On the occasion, Mr Shiv PratapTomar, Program Leader, North India, presented a note of gratitude and appreciation to AMU Pro Vice Chancellor, Brigadier S Ahmad Ali (Veteran). He said that it will be an honour for them to be associated with AMU.
Mr Tomar specifically thanked Mr Saad Hameed, Training and Placement Officer, AMU for being pro-active in terms of campus placements and for building interface between AMU and corporate world.
AMU Pro Vice Chancellor, Brigadier Ali said that the MoU between Piramal Education Foundation and AMU will open doors of opportunities for students besides providing quality workforce and academic leadership to the organization.
Mr Saad Hameed, TPO, AMU said that associations like these are necessary for making graduates aware of the needs and expectations of the corporate world. "It will also provide professional insight in training the students for the market needs," said Mr Hameed.
During the programme, Dr Mohd Tahir and Dr Arif Khan represented the Department of Social Work.
