13-DEC-2016: Aligarh Muslim University Pro Vice Chancellor, Brigadier S Ahmad Ali (Veteran) and Professor Suhail Sabir, Chairperson, Alumni Affairs Committee recently visited AMU's Kishanganj Centre.
On the occasion, the Pro Vice Chancellor assured that all necessary efforts are being made by AMU administration to bring in funds released for Kishanganj Centre at the earliest.
While interacting with the students, faculty members and the non-teaching staff at the Academic Block of the Centre, he stressed the need to re-strengthen the process of institution building while bringing the Kishanganj Centre to vibrancy.
Brigadier Ali with Prof Sabir and Mr Khan Amadur Rahman also visited the proposed site for construction of AMU Kishanganj Centre at Chakla in Kishanganj, where they inspected the boundary wall, damaged during floods. Meanwhile Mr Amadur Rahman surveyed the site for the preparation of the master plan of Kishanganj Centre.
Dr Abdul Ghafoor, Minister for Minority Welfare, Government of Bihar; Prof Irtaza Karim, Director, NCPUL; Er Mohammad Aslam Alig, President, Human Chain; Mr Syed Mohammad Qutubur Rahman, President, AMU Alumini Forum, UAE; Mr Ashfaq Karim, Chairman, Katihar Medical College; Mr Anisur Rahman Qidwai; Mr Abid Anwar, Journalist, UNI and other dignitaries were also present.
Brigadier Ali and Prof Rashid Nehal, Director, Kishanganj Centre thanked the District Magistrate of Kishanganj, Shri Pankaj Dixit for the flood control measures initiated by the administration at the proposed construction site of Kishanganj Centre.
