21-DEC-2016: AMU Pro Vice Chancellor, Brigadier S Ahmad Ali (Veteran) recently delivered a 'Motivational Lecture' on 'Role of Time Management in Career Building'. The programme was organized by the Coaching and Guidance Cell of Sir Syed Hall (South), Aligarh Muslim University.
During his address, Brigadier Ali pointed out that the real challenge about time management is actually managing self.
He added that since everyone has only 24-hours in a day, it is imperative to earn and master the art of creating maximum carpet area in minimum time to become a leader out of the ordinary.
"With time management abilities, people can become better professionals with less stressful lives," said the Pro Vice Chancellor adding that it is important to plan days accordingly by dividing tasks into sub-tasks and accomplishing them.
Brig Ali urged students to stay organized with daily planning and attentiveness.
He asked students to study the subjects, which they find uninteresting and difficult before taking up subjects of their interest to carry on their studies in a smooth way.
"It is also important to be clear in having short and long term goals and to be abreast in preparations of competitive exams," said the Pro Vice Chancellor.
Talking on the importance of government jobs, Brigadier Ali urged students on becoming important government officers of various administrative and other services.
On the occasion, the Pro Vice Chancellor also distributed prizes to the winners of 'Open Debate Competition' organized by Sir Syed Hall (South). Mr Mateen Ashraf (BA Second year) received the first prize, while BUMS students Mohd Zafar and Mohd Abdullah received second and third prizes respectively.
Professor Mohd Ismail, Provost, Sir Syed hall (South) also urged students to do best in the preparations of competitive exams. He added that AMU students have the right facilities and proper guidance of their teachers and support of the administration.
He further added that students should avail the facilities provided to them, while working hard to achieve their goals.
Dr Abdul Aziz Khan, Warden-Incharge, S S Hall (South) was also present on the occasion. Mr Mohd Arshad, Secretary, CGC conducted the programme and also proposed the vote of thanks.
