21-DEC-2016: Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College's Resident Doctors Association (RDA) in association with the Department of Community Medicine recently conducted a free health camp at the Aligarh Muslim University's adopted village, Mirzapur Siya in Aligarh district, in which free consultation and medicines were provided to 285 patients suffering with various ailments.
Dr Ammar Javed, Secretary, RDA informed that at least 12 Resident doctors from Departments of Ophthalmology, Pediatrics, Medicine, Surgery, ENT, Orthopaedics and Community Medicine attended 285 villagers including children, middle aged people, adolescent girls and women of child bearing age and elderly.
He added that the camp was specifically beneficial for patients suffering with diabetes, hypertension, cataract, eye infections and skin diseases.
While the RDA arranged resident doctors and medicines for the camp, the Department of Community Medicine arranged transport and helping staff for the camp site.
