25-MAR-2017: AMU historians at Punjab History Conference
ALIGARH March 25: At the 49th Session of Punjab History Conference held at the Punjabi University, Patiala, several faculty members and research scholars of the Centre of Advanced Study in History, Aligarh Muslim University presented research papers and made intellectual deliberations on Medieval History.
Professor Shireen Moosvi delivered the Kohli Memorial Lecture on "The Punjab's experience with Multiplicity" while Professor Syed Ali Nadeem Rezavi chaired the Medieval India section of the conference. He also delivered presidential address on Medieval Architecture of Punjab and its Multiple Roots.
Professor Rezavi also graced the popular theatre show on Jalianwala Massacre of 1919, which was organized by the students of Punjabi University.
Prof Jabir Raza delivered a paper on the Bhattis of Punjab and Rajasthan from the Ghaznavide rule in Punjab.
