Brigadier Ali inaugurates LAMM Centre
Aligarh, April 28: Aligarh Muslim University Pro Vice Chancellor, Brigadier S Ahmad Ali (Veteran) recently inaugurated the Language of Advertising Media and Market (LAMM) Centre in AMU. Meanwhile, the farewell programme of previous batch LAMM students was also conducted.
On the occasion, he said that since advertising as a field is growing every day, it is imperative that LAMM students in the university develop interest in the field and pursue a career in advertising.
He added that with the advent of the advertising field, a new language, which we see in popular commercials in the print and broadcast media has developed and is now reaching its height. ?Students should explore the advertising language and see if they can pursue successful careers in the field,? added Brigadier Ali.
Brigadier Ali further said that the students associated with LAMM in AMU should do their best in their course and bring laurels to the University.
Mrs Rizwana Ali said that the students associated with the LAMM course are exceptionally talented, who can do very well in their lives.
Professor Yusufuzzaman Khan, Controller of Examinations, AMU, who was also present on the occasion, said that since it is cut-throat competition in today?s world; students need to work exceptionally hard to carve a niche and excel in their fields.
Professor A R Fatihi, Chairperson, Department of Linguistics said that in today?s world of consumerism, it is very important to have courses like LAMM in the University. He added that this course will soon establish into an independent centre.
Mr Omar S Peerzada, AMU Public Relations Officer said the University administration is doing the best to provide the best of facilities to the students in their academic pursuits. He added that the University Vice Chancellor and the Pro Vice Chancellor have been working day in and day out for the infrastructure development and academic excellence in the University.
Meanwhile in the farewell function, Ms Insiya Fatima was declared the Ms Farewell, while Mr Ali Safdar Naqvi was declared Mr Farewell.
Ms Hiba Sabri conducted the programme. Dr Bairam Khan and Mr Syed Talha Ali proposed the vote of thanks.
