Dept of Paediatrics organises workshop on Paediatric Epilepsy Training
Aligarh, May 10: The Department of Paediatrics, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University recently organised a one-day workshop on Paediatric Epilepsy Training under the aegis of IAP, Aligarh and certified by the British Paediatric Neurology Association.
Dr Uzma Firdaus, Dr Anoop Kumar and Dr Iraj Alam Khan organized this training workshop under the able guidance of Prof Farzana K Beig, Chairperson, Department of Paediatrics as well as Professor Tabassum Shahab, Prof S Manazir Ali and Dr Hameeda Tariq. The Workshop was attended by faculty members of the Department of Paediatrics as well as allied departments, practitioners, fellows and post graduate students.
The one-day course in the workshop was delivered by Consultant Paediatric Neurologists with expertise in epilepsy. The course included short didactic teaching sessions, interactive workshops, quizzes and case discussion. The workshop offered unique opportunity to get updated knowledge on various aspects of paediatric epilepsy as well as to clear practical doubts through interactions with the distinguished faculty.
Renowned neurologists from Fortis, Apollo, Max Healthcare and Medanta Hospitals including Dr Rakesh Jain, Dr Rekha Mittal, Dr Y B Gupta, Dr Saurabh Chopra and Dr Yeeshu Singh were present on the occasion.
The workshop aimed at providing training for all paediatric healthcare professionals, diagnosing and managing children with an epilepsy or seizure disorder.
