21-SEP-2017: Law Society conducts Workshop on Mooting Skills
Aligarh, September21: Law Society, Faculty of Law, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) conducted a one-day workshop on 'Mooting Skills , including Memorial, Drafting and Oral Presentation'.
On the occasion, Prof Javaid Talib (Dean, Faculty of Law) encouraged all students to participate in the moot-court competitions.
While interacting with the students, Prof Zaheeruddin discussed the importance of moot-court and how it helps in developing speaking and research skills.
Dr Mohammad Tariq (In-charge, Law Society) welcomed the new batch of students and congratulated the office-bearers for getting elected in the Law Society.
Zaya Firdaus (Joint-Editor, Law Society) gave an introduction of the programme during the inaugural session.
The workshop had two sessions. The first session dealt with the purpose of moot-courts, in which Faham Ahmad Khan (Secretary, Moot Court) delineated on the topic. In the second session Raveena (Secretary, Law Society) discussed the essentials of mooting and the format used for Moot-Memorial. Ali Farhan Gulrez (Editor, Law Society) conducted the second session.
