25-SEP-2017: Ahmadi Schoool for the Visually Challenged observed Swachta Pakwada
Aligarh September 25: Aligarh Muslim University's Ahmadia Schoool for the Visually Challenged observed Swachta Pakwada with great enthusiasm. Special attention was paid on overall cleanliness of the campus including all hostel surroundings, mess, roads and garbage disposal points, washrooms and class rooms.
The focus during the drive was not only to garner staff and student's involvement but to bring about behavioural and attitudinal change through innovative activities so that the ultimate goals of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan could be achieved and sustained, informed the Principal.
To promote the cause, many activities were organised. An Essay writing competition on "Cleanliness-A Guarantee of Good Health", Speech competition with theme "Health and Hygiene is the Real Wealth" and "The Cleanest Hostel Room" was held in which large number of students participated.
The winners for the essay competition were Saima Khan X-A, Himanshu X-B, Alishba IX, Aasiya VIII, M Ahmad VII, Arun Kumar VI, whereas Alishba and Yashpal were chosen to deliver the Speech. Boy's Hostel Room number 138 occupied by resident Yashpal, Praveen, Nadeem and Raj declared most clean and tidy room for Boys' whereas all the rooms in the Girls Hostel were declared clean and tidy
Result of all the activities was declared in the morning assembly of the School.
