25-SEP-2017: Extension lecture held at Department of Business Administration
ALIGARH September 25: The Department of Business Administration, Aligarh Muslim University organised an extension lecture on "Fast-moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) as a career choice for MBA students" at the Frank and Debbie Islam Management Complex. Mr. Sohail Razzack, a noted international marketing and business professional delivered the lecture.
Mr. Razzack has a long working experience with MNC's like Cadburys, SmithKline Beecham Consumer Brands, Sprint RPG, Decker, ICI paints, etc., and is currently the Managing Director of Gandour India Food Processing Pvt. Ltd., a leading food manufacturer in the Middle East, North Africa and India, with products like Safari chocolate, Yamama cakes, Tourist wafers, etc.
Addressing the students, Mr. Razzack highlighted the career prospects for MBAs in FMCG industry and shared his vast experience with them. He said that a career in FMCG industry would be a package of new challenges and excitement which would gratify aspirations of ambitious minds. He advised students to be careful about the first company they choose to work with. He further shared with the students the mantra of "listening aggressively" and "empathising".
Earlier, Prof. Parvaiz Talib, Dean, Faculty of Managamet Studies and Research and Chairman of the Department of Business Administration welcomed the guest speaker with a memento.
The lecture was coordinated by Prof. Jamal A Farooquie, Dr. Saboohi Nasim, and Dr Tariq Aziz. The program was conducted by Ms. Supriya Varshney and Tooba Naz.
