27-OCT-2017: Ahmadi School to organize orientation and training programs for staff members
Aligarh, October 24: Ahmadi School for the Visually Challenged, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) in collaboration with National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities, Diyangjan, Dehradun, will organize an ?Orientation Program for Braille? and a ?Training Program in Disaster Management? from October 30, 2017 to November 3, 2017.
Teaching and non-teaching staff members of the school will participate in the two programmes. Prof Asfar Ali Khan (Director, Directorate of School Education) will be the chief guest of the inaugural session, while Prof A R Kidwai (Director, UGC HRD Center and KA Nizami Center for Quranic Studies) will attend the concluding function as the chief guest.
Mrs Firdaus Rahman (Principal, Ahmadi School for the Visually Challenged) said that the objective of the program is to equip staff members with necessary skills of Braille and to train them regarding safety measures in cases of fire, earthquakes and floods.
