01-NOV-2017: Workshop on ?Interest Aptitude Relationship for Career Building? held in AMU
Aligarh, October 31: The Training and Placement Office (General) and the Department of Psychology of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) organised a two-day workshop on ?Interest Aptitude Relationship for Career Building? for students attending senior secondary schools in the university.
Highlighting the importance of the workshop, Prof Akbar Husain (Department of Psychology) said that these programmes help in engaging students in intensive discussions and activities related to different subjects eventually making them familiar to innovative methods. He pointed out that the more such workshops will be held for students to explore their vocational interests.
Mr Saad Hameed (Training and Placement Officer, General) said that these workshops help students in identifying their talent and skills leaving them motivated to polish themselves for career choices.
Prof Ravi Gunthe (Psychologist and resource person of the workshop) from the Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur, administered the Interest- Aptitude- Screening-Test through which students identified their areas of interests.
Major S M Mustafa (Principal, Sayyid Hamid Senior Secondary School) and Dr Naghma Irfan (Principal, Senior Secondary school?Girls) welcomed the resource persons.
