25-NOV-2017: Women?s College Students? Union Election rescheduled
ALIGARH, November 25: The Aligarh Muslim University has rescheduled the Women?s College Students? Union elections and the polling will now be held on December 11, 2017, instead of earlier announced December 5.
Prof Hina Parwez, the Chief Election Officer of Women?s College Students? Union elections, through the revised schedule, said that the display of the voters? list will be on December 2, 2017 at 10:00 am, while the corrections in the voters? list will be made the same day from 2 pm onwards. Notification of the final voters? list will also be made the same day at around 4 pm.
The announcement said that filing of nomination papers in the prescribed format at the AD Block of the College will take place on December 4, 2017 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm followed by the Scrutiny of the nomination papers the same day from 6:00 pm onwards. Meanwhile, the withdrawal of nominations by the candidates will take place on December 5, 2017 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and the list of valid candidates will be displayed later in the evening at about 4:00 pm.
The allotment of serial numbers to the valid candidates will be done on December 6, 2017 from 10:00 am onwards, while the circulation of the final list of the candidates with their allotted serial numbers will be made the same day at 4:00 pm.
The election notification further informed that the final speech from Women?s College auditorium will take place on December 9, 2017 from 2:00 pm onwards after which no canvassing will be allowed in any form. The polling will take place on December 11, 2017 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm while counting of the votes will take place same day from 7:00 pm till the declaration of the results.
