27-NOV-2017: Constitution Day celebrated
Aligarh, November 27: The Kishanganj Centre of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) celebrated Samvidhan Divas (Constitution Day) with great fervour and spirit at a special function held at the Multipurpose Hall, Academic Block, Kishanganj Centre.
On the occasion, the B.Ed students Amirul Hasan and Aaisha Iqbal, read out the Preamble of the Constitution of India and explained the fundamental rights and duties.
Mr Ghufran Ahmad (Course Coordinator and Programme In-charge) delivered a lecture on the importance of fundamental duties and rights. He emphasised that the fundamental duties of the citizens and in particular the duties to uphold and protect the sovereignty, unity and integrity of the country are of paramount importance.
Meanwhile, the Department of Tahaffuzi wa Samaji Tib, Ajmal Khan Tibbiya College, Faculty of Unani Medicine, AMU also observed the Constitution Day on the theme of ?Preamble of Indian Constitution and Fundamental Duties of Indian Citizens?. While delivering a lecture on the occasion, Dr Ammar Ibne Anwar (Assistant Professor, Dept of Tahaffuzi wa Samaji Tib) pointed out that the Constitution of India has envisaged a holistic approach towards civic life in a democratic polity. Dr Mohd Usman delivered the constitutional pledge. Dr Mohd Aslam was also present on the occasion.
