28-NOV-2017: Workshop held for MBA students
ALIGARH November 28: The Faculty of Management Studies and Research, Aligarh Muslim University, organized a two-day workshop on ?Career Success through Self Analysis and Soft Skills?. Prof Jayaraman, a professional corporate trainer, an alumnus of IIM, Kolkata and presently the Director, International School of Business and Media (ISBM) at the Bengaluru Campus, conducted the workshop.
In the workshop, the need for usefulness of self analysis and soft skills was discussed in detail by Prof Jayaraman. A series of psychometric tests were also organized to judge the behavioural strength and weakness of the participating students of business administration. They were also judged for their personal skills like teamwork, assertiveness and leadership traits. Later, Prof Jayaraman counseled the students on one-to-one basis in the light of their psychometric test results. This exercise helped participants crystallize their preferences for various specializations in order to make appropriate career choices.
The workshop also comprised two separate sessions for the postgraduate students from various faculties and departments while second session was meant for undergraduate students of B Tech and BE courses. More than 150 students participated in the workshop.
Another workshop for some selected students out of these groups will be organized soon, for which 20 students have already enrolled.
Dr Suboohi Naseem proposed a vote of thanks. Dr Zareen Husain Farooq, Workshop Coordinator, along with Dr Ahmad Faraz Khan and his team of student volunteers worked hard for successful organization of the workshop.
