AMUSU mourns demise of Mr Ahmad Saleem Peerzada in condolence meeting
Aligarh , December 23: The Aligarh Muslim University Students Union (AMUSU) in a condolence meeting, mourned the sad demise of AMU alumnus, Mr Ahmad Saleem Peerzada fondly known as Lovey Peerzada, who breathed his last in the Apollo Hospital, New Delhi after a suffering paralysis attack and brain haemorrhage.
Soon after the paralysis attack, Mr Peerzada was admitted to the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), AMU. He was later shifted to Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi from where he was referred to the Apollo Hospital.
An engineer by education and training, Mr Peerzada was the Hony Secretary of Aligarh Muslim University Students Union (AMUSU) in his student days. He was known for delivering articulation. His political stint continued after his student life as he founded the Parcham Party.
He played a role in representing AMU?s struggle for maintaining the minority character at the national level.
Maskoor Ahmad Usmani (AMUSU President), Sajad Subhan Rather (AMUSU Vice President) and Mohammad Fahad (AMUSU Hony Secretary) with cabinet members were present in the meeting.
