03-JAN-2018: AMU Prof visits Beuth University of Applied Sciences, Berlin
Aligarh, January 3: Professor Abdul Malik (Former Chairperson, Department of Agricultural Microbiology, Aligarh Muslim University?AMU) visited the Beuth University of Applied Sciences, Berlin after an invitation from the INSA- DFG (Deutsche Forschungs Gemeinschaft) programme.
He worked with the Beuth University?s Department of Biotechnology for a month as a part of an international collaboration and exchange programme aimed at the intensification and improvement of German-Indian cooperation in science, research and technology.
During the visit, Prof Malik discussed research work with German scientists and possibilities of future collaborations and academic exchange of students between AMU and Beuth University.
Prof Malik is also a recipient of the prestigious DBT CREST award, which was given by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. He has been a visiting professor/scientist at the Albert Ludwigs University of Freiburg, Germany. He has also visited the Department of Food Engineering, University of Cukorova, Adana, Turkey under the Scientist Exchange programme of Indian National Science Academy and Turkish Academy of Sciences.
Prof Malik has successfully completed Joint International Collaborative Research projects with Technical University in Berlin, Indo-Portuguese Cooperation of Science and Technology and University of Minho in Braga, Portugal with Prof Madalena Alves. He has authored several books and research papers in journals of international and national repute.
