05-MAR-2018: JNMC senior resident wins best-research paper in ISSPCON
Aligarh, March 5: Dr Aftab Hussain (Senior Resident, Department of Anaesthesiology, J N Medical College?JNMC, Aligarh Muslim University?AMU) received the best-research-paper award with a cash prize for his paper on ?Comparison of Deep Dry Needling versus Local Anesthetic and Steroid Tender Point Injections in Patients of Chronic Non Specific Neck Pain? at the 33rd Annual National Pain Congress of Indian Society for Study of Pain (ISSPCON) 2018 in New Delhi.
This is the second time that Dr Hussain has received the best-research-paper award in ISSPCON. He was earlier awarded the best-paper in ISSPCON 2015 at Chennai.
His paper was selected the best from among 48 entries. Around 500 delegates from India, USA, UK, Australia, UAE, Germany and other countries attended the conference.
Dr Hussain conducted his research and study under the guidance of Prof Hammad Usmani (Consultant Incharge, Pain Clinic, Department of Anaesthesiology, JNMC).
Prof S M Ahmed (Chairperson, Department of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care) and other faculty members have congratulated Dr Hussain for the achievement.
