10-MAR-2018: Academic Programmes Committee conducts workshop on ?Project Funding in Higher Education?
Aligarh, March 10: The Academic Programmes Committee, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) today organised a workshop on ?Project Funding in Higher Education? at the University Polytechnic Auditorium.
AMU Vice Chancellor, Professor Tariq Mansoor who attended the programme as the chief-guest said that it is important for young teachers to know how to apply and where to apply for the funding of their projects.
Prof Mansoor urged teachers to bring new projects in the university for further raising the standard of the university. ?A new project brought by a teacher of a particular department not only raises the research and academic level of the department but the whole university,? he said adding that he is sure that the deliberations of the workshop will be very useful for young assistant professors.
?The new projects should be used for their (teachers) promotion process,? said the Vice Chancellor.
Prof Wasim Ahmad (Director, Academic Programmes Committee and Convener of the workshop) said that experts from six different funding agencies are participating in the workshop. ?We are sure that the workshop will help teachers in learning the best ways of writing proposals for the funding of their projects,? he said.
Prof M Mursaleen and Prof M M Sufiyan beg also spoke on the occasion.
Dr Mohammad Naved Khan proposed vote of thanks, while Dr Safia Habib conducted the programme.
