20-MAR-2018: Faculty of Management Studies and Research organise series of workshops
Aligarh, March 20: The Faculty of Management Studies and Research, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) organised ?Alig Academic Enrichment Program (AAEP)-2018,? a series of workshops at the Frank and Debbie Islam Management Complex.
After the welcome address at the inaugural function by Prof Parvaiz Talib (Dean, Faculty of Management and Chairperson, Department of Business Administration), the guest-speakers discussed career prospects in corporate and government sectors.
In the workshop on ?Cracking the Code for Competitive Exams?, Mr Faiz Kidwai (Indian Administrative Services-MP cadre), Captain Urooj Athar (Indian Navy) and Group Captain Ravinder Bhatnagar (Indian Air Force) delineated tips for effective preparation of various competitive exams such as civil services and defence services.
While in the workshop on ?Global Equity Investment Strategies and Portfolio Management?, Mr Jafar Rizvi (Portfolio manager and partner at Harding Louvner, USA) spoke on necessary financial decisions made by portfolio managers.
The workshop on ?Social Entrepreneurship as a Route to Rewarding Business Career? had Mr Siraj A Abbasi (Founder CEO, Kiddox Education) as the resource person with Mr Faisal Farooqui and Mr Akif Ahmad as other speakers. They encouraged students to pursue social entrepreneurship, while sharing insights on how to begin careers with social causes.
Prof Jamal Farooqui (Faculty In-Charge), Dr Saboohi Nasim and other faculty members worked tirelessly to make the programme successful.
