AMU Administration asks Doctors to call off strike immediately
Aligarh, April 7: Aligarh Muslim University has once again declared the strike of Resident Doctors Association illegal and has warned them to call off their strike immediately and resume duties to avoid legal proceedings against them.
According to Prof S C Sharma (Principal, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College?JNMC and Dean, Faculty of Medicine), the Consultants (Senior Doctors) of JNMC , have already constituted backhand team of senior doctors , SRs and Interns who have been managing OPD patients and also looking after their patients admitted in various wards. He further assured every care is been taken by this team for proper and quality treatment.
Previously Prof Sharma in a notice urged the doctors to join their duties as it is affecting general people seeking treatment at JNMC. The notice has warned the doctors on strike of actions as per university rules and regulations, if they do not turn up for their duties.
Today a meeting of Chairmen department of studies of the faculty of medicines took place, to resolve the issue
