17-APR-2018: AMU Vice Chancellor visits Women?s College
ALIGARH April 17: The Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University, Prof Tariq Mansoor today visited the Women?s College, Abdullah Hall of residence for girls, Medical Attendance Scheme, Pensioners? Association office and Ismat Society School and gave direction for various kinds of development works.
During his visit, Prof Mansoor directed the University Engineer to expedite renovation work of the auditorium and class rooms, and emphasized that the renovation of classrooms be carried out at the earliest from the renovation fund recently provided by the University Grants? Commission.
He requested the Dean Students? Welfare to submit a proposal for providing furniture and other necessary facilities to the newly- constructed Dining Hall of the Abdullah Hall. He further directed that eatables and tea should be made available in the College canteen at affordable price and better hygiene should be maintained.
Prof Mansoor visited different laboratories in the college and directed the building department staff to renovate them keeping in view the safety measures. He also took stock of progress in the construction of swimming pool.
Visiting the Women?s College campus, the Vice Chancellor identified space for the construction of a new building for Medical Attendance Scheme and directed the University Engineer to make a proposal for providing basic amenities including sofa sets in the Pensioners? Association office for comfortable sitting of retired teachers and employees.
