18-AUG-2018: VC Releases SN Hall Magazine: Episteme
Aligarh, August 18: "Students of AMU are ambassadors of the University's cultural and intellectual legacy that creates a sense of belongingness, pride and respect for their alma mater and the Hall magazine plays an important role in displaying the acumen of the resident," said Vice Chancellor Prof Tariq Mansoor, while releasing the Sarojini Naidu Hall Magazine 2017-18 of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).
He complimented the Provost, Wardens and the Editorial Team, who have worked to bring out the SN Hall Magazine titled "Episteme".
Prof Seema Hakim, Provost SN Hall and Patron of the Magzine appreciated the efforts of the editorial team for successfully compiling the myriad thoughts of the students and amalgamating it into the magazine.
The editorial team comprising Areeba Shabbir, Shazia Bi and Somyya Bano has put in much labour and deeper understanding of diversity inherent to academics and extra-curricular spaces which are well reflected in the quality of magazine.
Dr Sana Samreen (Censor and Editor In Chief), contributed with title suggestion while Juverian Maryam contributed the cover photo and Areeba designed the cover.
The magazine has aimed to achieve its vision being a truly representative student publication. It has covered articles, events and issues in the form of poetry, flash fiction and creative non-fiction.
