13-SEP-2018: Counseling session organised for AMU ABK High School, Girls students
Aligarh, September 13: The Students Counselling Centre, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) organised a session on Counselling Awareness at the AMU ABK High School, Girls in which students of classes IX and X were given professional guidance and help to choose careers and courses by the Chief-Speaker, Professor Akbar Husain, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences.
During the interaction with students, Prof Husain stressed on the importance of self-realisation and self-repair for building successful careers. Quoting religious scriptures and philosophers, Prof Husain emphasised that students should pursue their dreams and aim to excel in the subject of their choice.
"Each subject has its importance and relevance," said Prof Husain while answering queries of students. He asked the students to visit the Counselling Centre with their parents and to further clear their doubts and confusions on which careers to opt for.
Prof Husain discussed common problems suffered by teenagers and urged the students to always discuss their problems with teachers and parents.
Dr Saba Hasan (Vice Principal, AMU ABK High School Girls) was present on the occasion. Mrs Shahnaz Akhtar and Ms Fakhra Tabassum organised the programme.
