08-OCT-2018: Orientation programme organized on Gandhi Fellowship
ALIGARH October 8: The Training and Placement Office (General), Aligarh Muslim University, in collaboration with the Piramal Foundation for Education Leadership, New Delhi, organised a two-day programme on prestigious ?Gandhi Fellowship? at the Arts Faculty lounge.
The programme comprised three events including poster making, Debate and B-Plan Pitching Competition while the prize distribution ceremony was held on the second day of the programme following a pre-placement talk.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Debanjan Roy, Program Director and core team member, talked about the benefits of Gandhi fellowship pointing out that learning, researching, orienting and modulating individuals' capabilities were the key objectives of this fellowship.
Underlining the significance of the fellowship, and the process of selection, Dr Anupam Saha, Programme Manager, mentioned success stories of some of the fellows who are associated with world renowned companies and agencies. She said that the fellowship covers the overall personality development with a deep insight into the urban and rural life of India and its ground realities.
Mr Gorank Jain, Programme Leader, discussed the procedures and formalities of the fellowship and mentioned the guidelines for applying for the fellowship.
Dr Jahangir Alam and Dr Muzamil Mushtaq, Assistant TPOs (General) conducted the programme and distributed the prize and certificates to the participants.
More than 100 students from various faculties and departments attended the programme.
