20-OCT-2018: AMU research scholar gets prize in national event
ALIGARH October 20: Ms Minhal Abidi, a PhD scholar in the Department of Biochemistry (Faculty of Medicine), Aligarh Muslim University got second prize in the poster and oral presentation event during the first National Biomedical Research Competition held at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rishikesh. Ms Abidi received a cash prize of Rs 20,000/-, along with a certificate and memento, as part of the award.
The All India Institute of Medial Sciences, Rishikesh organized the National Biomedical Research Competition (NBRCom) as part of the 87th birth anniversary celebrations of Dr APJ Abul Kalam, former President of India.
Ms Abidi is pursuing research on the role of glycoxidatively modified LDL in Diabetes and Periodontitis under the supervision of Prof Moinuddin, Chairman, Department of Biochemistry (Faculty of Medicine).
Ms Abidi has published four papers in peer reviewed international journals and attended several scientific meets and conferences.
