01-NOV-2018: Scholarships distributed to Mass Communication students
ALIGARH November 1: "Mass Communication has become one of the most sought after areas of studies as it offers tremendous professional and job opportunities', said Mr Amanullah, President, Muslim Education Trust, while distributing scholarship cheques to five students of MA (Mass Communication) in a ceremony held at the Department of Mass Communication, Aligarh Muslim University today.
The Trust has given scholarships to Ms Akanksha Gupta, Mr Rehan Ahmad, Ms Lubna Khan, Ms Arifa Bhatt and Ms Ayesha Syed Bashar. The cheques were handed over to the students by Mr Amanullah, Profesor Shafey Kidwai, Chairman, Department of Mass Communication, Dr Pitabhas Pradhan, Dr G K Sahu and Mr Anis Ahmad.
Addressing the students, Mr Amanullah said that his Trust will provide more scholarships to the students pursuing media, management and law courses. "Needy will be given first priority in awarding scholarships", he added.
Speaking on the occasion, Professor Shafey Kidwai said that the scholarship unfailingly boosts the morale of students and he thanked the Trust for selecting AMU students.
