29-NOV-2018: Career Planning Centre organizes beauty week and exhibition
ALIGARH November 29: The Skill Development and Career Planning Centre (SDCPC), Women's College, Aligarh Muslim University organized a "Beauty Week" programme along with an Exhibition-cum-Sale event displaying the various kinds of products made by the students enrolled at the centre. Inaugurating the programmes, noted pediatrician, Dr Hameeda Tariq appreciated the efforts of the students and welcomed the Centre's initiative for empowering girls and women of marginalized section with the ability to earn their livelihood employing various kinds of skills. She said such activities will help them become self reliant and a contributory member to family's economy.
Earlier, welcoming the guests, Prof Naima Gulrez, Principal, Women's College and Director of the SDCPC, said that Centre is committed to empower the girls and women of weaker section of society by providing them with skill training and opportunity to display their talents through such exhibitions-cum-sale. She said that this programme has been organized on the theme "Earning while Learning".
The Student Counselor, Dr Samreen Hasan Khan said that besides the exhibition-cum-sale, a Beauty Week has also been organized which will facilitate performance of various beauty skills by Centre students such as Bleach, Spa, Hina, Waxing, Hair and Skin care techniques until December 3.
On the occasion, Dr Hameeda Tariq distributed prizes and certificates to the winners of various events and visited the skill development lab.
