04-DEC-2018: National Workshop Organized by Chemical Engineering Department
Aligarh, December 4: One day National Workshop on `Modeling and Simulation in Chemical Engineering and Allied Fields`, was organized by the Department of Chemical Engineering, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), under TEQIP-III. The workshop was aimed at fostering conceptual knowledge and the imperative importance of the modeling and simulation in chemical engineering and allied fields which were apprised by the Coordinator of the workshop Dr. M. J. Khalil.
Prof BH Khan (Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology) and Prof MM Sufiyan Beg (Principal, Zakir Hussain College of Engineering and Technology) addressed the participants and the faculty and highlighted the inevitable importance of modeling in the present engineering and technology scenario.
The eminent speakers such as Dr Jaswinder Singh (Head Bio-fuels Division, IIP, Dehradun), Dr Ashwini Sood (Head, Department of Chemical Engineering, HBTU, Kanpur) and Dr. Ali Haider (Department of Chemical Engineering, IIT-Delhi, New Delhi) delivered expert talk on the subject of interest.
The occasion was graced by Dr S S Alam (Ex-Professor and Ex-Chairman, ChED, Ex-Dean F/O Engg and Tech., AMU) and Dr Shaukat Ali (Ex-Professor and Ex-Chairman, ChED, Ex-Dean F/O Engg and Tech., AMU).
Mr Naseem Ahmad Khan (Chairman, Department of Chemical Engineering, AMU), welcomed the speakers, guests and the participants. Co-coordinator Dr M Danish extended the vote of thanks and Ms Yusra Hamid hosted the workshop.
The presence of large number of participants, including several faculty members and research scholars of other departments, made the workshop a big success and provided motivation for holding such events frequently.
