17-DEC-2018: RDA organizes free health camp
ALIGARH, December 17: Resident Doctors' Association (RDA) of Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) organised a free Health Camp in collaboration with Drug Society and SAYA NGO in Begum Sultan Jahan (BSJ) hall.
This was the 5th such camp organised by RDA over the past one month. The team of 35 doctors including PGs & UGs was led by Dr Hamza Malik (Vice-president, RDA), Dr Shadma Shahin (Secretary, RDA) and Dr Md Rehan (Treasurer, RDA).
190 patients including fifty children mostly residents of the slum near BSJ hall were examined in the camp. The student volunteers of BSJ hall associated with SAYA NGO impart free education to these children. Free medicines were provided by the Drug Society, a registered organisation of JNMC undergraduate students that looks after the needs of poor patients.
Mr Abdul Hamid IPS (Registrar, AMU) visited the camp, interacted with the children and supported such a collaborative programme of different organisations of AMU.
RDA President, Dr Abdullah said that they have organised health camps in Aligarh and beyond and will continue to do so.
